Murals
The International Mural Competition was the first project launched by Art Child. To allow maximum room for creativity, only minimal requirements were made
The requirements were that it be:
1) 16 ft wide by 5 ft high
2) Transportable,
3) Done by groups of children aged 8 to 12.
The unique aspect of this project is the freedom of the choice of materials and interpretation of the children of the themes peace and earth.
The competition takes place in three phases. First the Ministry of Culture or Education of each participating country organizes the competition and children from different schools create the murals representing their country.
Once the murals are completed, a national committee composed of members of the organizing Ministry, is then formed. All murals are presented and one or two of them are declared winners of the national competition.
Once the winning murals are sent to France, Art Child thus ensures a location and guarantees that the children's artwork will participate in a travelling exhibition. The exhibition will begin soon with all the murals. The basis for awards can be the most colorful mural, the most avant-garde and etc.
